Partial Payments are a great way to encourage sales - especially if you have high priced tickets/registrations and/or the event is some time way.
To enable Partial Payments, you will need to;
- login to your event
- select 'Build'
- select 'Tickets'
- select 'Ticket Settings'
- in the field titled 'Minimum Deposit Percentage' (in the 'Manual Payments' section), enter the percentage of the order value the registrant must pay upfront
- select 'Save'
This will allow registrants to confirm their order by paying at least the nominated minimum percentage of the order value up front.
Registrants can then make subsequent payments using the 'Make a Payment' link contained in the confirmation email that is sent to them.
You can check which orders have been 'Paid in Full' (column P) using the 'Orders' report - the 'Orders' report also shows the order 'Amount Owing' (column O)
If you use both the "Manual Payment Instructions" option and the 'Minimum Deposit Percentage' (Partial Payment) option, registrants will be able to confirm their order without making a payment up front by opting to use the Manual Payment Instructions.
Credit card and PayPal payments will still respect the 'Minimum Deposit Percentage'.
